The Game: Victor's Video Vault is a first-person horror game set in a reality-bending 1995 video store.

​

The Role: Karen is an entitled, demanding customer who firmly believes she’s always right and that every inconvenience is someone else's fault. She's impatient, condescending, and quick to escalate when she isn't getting exactly what she wants.

 

While Karen is a comedic character, the performance shouldn't feel like a deliberate parody or caricature. Her humor comes from how seriously she takes herself and her absolute certainty that she's the most important person in the room.

 

Voice Direction: We're open to different interpretations and don't require a specific accent. We're looking for an irritating, overbearing personality that still feels believable and grounded.

Role Size: 8 lines of dialogue, plus one scream/vocal effort.
Compensation: $100 USD (If your minimum rate for a role of this size is higher, feel free to indicate your rate with your audition.)

 

Audition Lines

1. Karen has been waiting to complain and is already angry.

"Hey! I've been waiting here for ages to make a complaint. I want to speak to the manager RIGHT NOW!"

2. Scream: A frightened/panicked scream, as if Karen has just witnessed something horrifying.
